The sound of crashing waves, the salty smell of air as gentle cold breeze rustles through my skin and the exquisite view of dipping sunset into the horizon soothes my soul. It brings peace and serenity in me. It is my safe haven, my stress reliever, and my comfort zone where I can freely be drowned on my thoughts and letting it drift away with the waves. Watching the sun slowly disappear, it reminds me that yes indeed everything will be alright. As it disappears, so do my problems of the day — as it reappears a brand new — it’s a new opportunity to become a better me. And at the end of the day — we’re always given the chance to start over again. To live for another sunset.
When the city is asleep, I spend most of my time staring at bewitching and beautiful night sky. The night sky in its enormity in scale and obscurity reminds me of what the future lies for me. And the millions of stars shining down on me in dark night sky reminds me that even in the darkest times there is always hope and light. Strangely enough, the view brings peace and serenity in my mind and heart along with solitude.

Beautifully Flawed

We live in a world driven by technology. Everyone uses technology, from children and teenagers to adults and elders. Technology is vital in today’s world and indeed, makes everything easier, but it can cause laziness and it was abused by others. In today's technology, communication is one of the most affected in our daily lives. It’s no surprise that the widespread use of social media for communicating ideas has a profound effect on the overall way people communicate today. Social media reduced the barriers in communication, making it easier for everyone to express their thoughts to the world. It has also made it easier to connect to friends and families more than ever. Where you are allowed to see the face of the person you are talking to and with just one dial, you can talk to someone that easily. But everything that is beautiful has also its downside, social media is a public platform, anyone — including news outlets — can post anything without being accountable for fact-checki...

My Dreams, My Future.

Everyone of us have their goals, hopes and dreams no matter how young we are or how old we are. Normally, their desires are changing while they are growing along. It is because people in different ages have different requirements and thoughts. It's amazing that when you become mature, you start to think about things that you don't normally think. No matter how hard it would be, most people would try their best to achieve their goals, hopes and dreams. When I was a child I want to become an  Accountant and a Pilot. I want to count a big amount of money. When I was a child playing outside our house I'm always amazed how the airplanes fly up in the sky. But as time goes by there is a conflict of interes. I always change my mind. I always doubted myself, in my abilities. And I always questioned myself if this is going to be worth it? Is this what God planned for me? Can this make me happy because I will do this for almost the rest of my life. But now, I just want ...

Life is a constant change

One line of the song goes this way, "Life is a constant change and nothing stays the same." In which I strongly believed. Everything is changing. The things I used to see, hear, and touch is not the same anymore. Some turned out to be good but most were not. Everybody is aiming to change the future, the world to be a better place to live in. But we can't do that drastically. Before we can aim to change anyone, anything, or any place, change should begin in ourselves. We should have a self assessment or ask ourselves "What's wrong with me? What have I done to improve myself and others?" That moment you may know which to maintain, change, and improve. Self change is needed in order to change others and the place we live in. If we show love, they will give us back. If we care to do good things to others. Isn't it that we receive good things too? Love begets love. It's like a boomerang. You will reap what you sow. These sayings you used to hear are...

New year, Better me.

Last year, I have encountered so many ups and down. I have learned many lessons from my experiences. I also faced a lot of challenges a life has to offer. I lost important persons in my life. I lost friendships of people I valued a lot. I didn't reach the expectations of my parents. And I got some trouble controlling my emotions. But after all of these I am still blessed that God had given me blessings more than I deserve. As the year changes, I decided to leave all my problems & flaws behind. New year means renewed self with new perspective and goals. I decided to change my lifestyle and to improve myself to the best version of me. I became mature. I can now handle my emotions well. I also strengthen my faith in God. To trust his plans for me. Last year, I learned that sometimes it is okay to be alone in order for me to know myself more. I also learned how to be more confident enough in everything that I do. I should believe in myself. I will face my fears alone. And alway...

No One Will Be Left Behind

Equality is a concept that encourages the individual to confront, challenge and refuse to accept barriers that discriminate and deny them their life chances. Many socially marginalised groups can be compared to each other in regards to their struggle for equality. People seem to overlook, fear or put down those they perceive to be “different” or “not like us”.   All men and women should be guaranteed equal rights and equal opportunities, despite of differences in ability, ethnicity, gender, age, sexuality and families. Ways in which people lin society may choose to deal with this discomfort they have with these differences can be either excluding individuals, trying to ‘fix’ the differences. We should accept everyone's differences in order to have a productive and progressive country. Let's treat each other as if we are one, as if we don't have differences. Let's make a change! everyone should be a part of this change. No will will be left behind!

Celebration of all celebrations

Christmas has come around once more. It is a season of merry-making and rejoicing – “a celebration of all celebrations” of sorts to commemorate the birth of the most important person in history. But Christmas is not just about the birthday of God's son and that's not also the reason why we celebrate and honor Christmas better than our birthday or any important anniversary in the family. If God really wanted us to celebrate it that way, God would have schemed Jesus birth in the same fashion we celebrate it today. But He chose a simpler way to do things because He wanted us to celebrate the "essence" not the event. Christmas is a time to see the world through the eyes of love. It's a time to remember that the world is made up of people like us and to see them for who they are inside. It is a time for the contemplation of eternal things. The Christmas spirit is a spirit of giving and forgiving. It is a time when the love of God and the love of our fellow men ...

Communication is extremely important between family members, especially when some of them live far away. For this reason, today’s technological advances are very helpful to families with busy schedules or widely spread families. There is no doubt about it-the way we communicate with our family members today has changed dramatically in recent years. Just a decade ago, text messaging, blogging, and emails were not methods of family communication. Some people say that technology is impacting families in a negative way. Like for example, instead of eating dinner together, they are instead turning on the television, or using the computer. They dont even have time for little chitchats with the family because they are busy with their phones. These are just a few of the many ways in which technology has changed the way families communicate with one another in today’s modern world. But many families find email and chat rooms useful for keeping in touch and communicate regularly with family...

Our teachers, Our heroes.

Why we are celebrating Teacher's Day? When did this started? In India, the Teacher's Day is celebrated on 5th September and this tradition started from 1962. This is the when Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born. He was a philosopher, scholar, teacher, and politician and his dedicated work towards education made his birthday an important day in the history of India. We remember the great work of this exemplary person on this day. Actually, this man, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was a friendly teacher and he was popular among his students for the example he always set in front of them. So, one day his students and friends requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday in a lavish way. In return he said that it would be his pride and honor if they celebrate his birthday in respect of all teachers. And since then this day 5th September is celebrated as Teacher's Day. Now, talking about the rest of the world, World Teacher's Day is celebrated on 5th October an...

Always have a positive outlook!

Who among us haven't exprienced any problem? In our day to day living we may encounter one; be it simple or complicated; be it in the love, studies, work, money, health, family or natural calamities. Some may cry their heart out, some may end their lives, and some may have happy outlook in life and find their way for solution. We Filipinos were known to be happy people. Even in the face of problem/calamities we still find ways to enjoy and laugh about in this kind of situations. Example of it is during floods. Many of us still manage to smile, take selfies, and enjoying the moment of having a free swimming pool, wading on flood water on their styro foams. Just like the Philippine slogan "It's more fun in the Philippines" Although we seems to be not serious because of the happy perspective, we were also exposed with what they call "Bayanihan". Everybody has ways to help others, whether that may be in kind, service time, and means money and etc., so that w...

It was June when we started discussing in ICT, I learned a lot of things. It's all about internet. We can do a lot of things through internet. And one of the advantages of internet is communication. We are able to communicate with other people far from us. I also learned about the history of internet, different internet pioneers and Philippine internet architectures. But blogging caught my interest the most. I learned the different steps and ways of search engines. I had encounter challenges during the first quarter, one is lack of time. I am slow in typing in computer so I cant publish my works on time. And I have to sleep late at night finishing my articles. And at first I am not familiar with blogging but I am able to surpass all of this challenges with the help of my classmates and my teacher. Moving on, I will still post on my blog account to enhance my writing skills and to share my knowledge with others. And I will keep and apply the knowledge our teacher taught us. This ...
