No One Will Be Left Behind

Equality is a concept that encourages the individual to confront, challenge and refuse to accept barriers that discriminate and deny them their life chances. Many socially marginalised groups can be compared to each other in regards to their struggle for equality. People seem to overlook, fear or put down those they perceive to be “different” or “not like us”.   All men and women should be guaranteed equal rights and equal opportunities, despite of differences in ability, ethnicity, gender, age, sexuality and families. Ways in which people lin society may choose to deal with this discomfort they have with these differences can be either excluding individuals, trying to ‘fix’ the differences. We should accept everyone's differences in order to have a productive and progressive country. Let's treat each other as if we are one, as if we don't have differences. Let's make a change! everyone should be a part of this change. No will will be left behind!

Celebration of all celebrations

Christmas has come around once more. It is a season of merry-making and rejoicing – “a celebration of all celebrations” of sorts to commemorate the birth of the most important person in history. But Christmas is not just about the birthday of God's son and that's not also the reason why we celebrate and honor Christmas better than our birthday or any important anniversary in the family. If God really wanted us to celebrate it that way, God would have schemed Jesus birth in the same fashion we celebrate it today. But He chose a simpler way to do things because He wanted us to celebrate the "essence" not the event. Christmas is a time to see the world through the eyes of love. It's a time to remember that the world is made up of people like us and to see them for who they are inside. It is a time for the contemplation of eternal things. The Christmas spirit is a spirit of giving and forgiving. It is a time when the love of God and the love of our fellow men

Communication is extremely important between family members, especially when some of them live far away. For this reason, today’s technological advances are very helpful to families with busy schedules or widely spread families. There is no doubt about it-the way we communicate with our family members today has changed dramatically in recent years. Just a decade ago, text messaging, blogging, and emails were not methods of family communication. Some people say that technology is impacting families in a negative way. Like for example, instead of eating dinner together, they are instead turning on the television, or using the computer. They dont even have time for little chitchats with the family because they are busy with their phones. These are just a few of the many ways in which technology has changed the way families communicate with one another in today’s modern world. But many families find email and chat rooms useful for keeping in touch and communicate regularly with family
The National Reading Month, as spearheaded by the Philippine Department of Education (DepEd) pursuant to Republic Act No. 10556, is an annual nationwide celebration every November that promotes the love for reading and its importance to the lifelong process of learning among Filipino learners. This year’s theme is Pagbasa: Susi sa Magandang Kinabukasan (Reading: Key to A Beautiful Future). That reading has a powerful effect on our capacity to learn, develop and grow isn’t a new idea. It also give us joy. Aside from the sheer joy of exercising the imagination, research shows reading for pleasure improves literacy, social skills, health and learning outcomes. Reading books is important. You can acquire knowledge, increase memory and imagination, are able to do more and better critical thinking, and it improves language and communication skills, to name some. Reading books is extremely important. Especially for children and young adults, because it makes them stronger to face the chal

Our teachers, Our heroes.

Why we are celebrating Teacher's Day? When did this started? In India, the Teacher's Day is celebrated on 5th September and this tradition started from 1962. This is the when Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born. He was a philosopher, scholar, teacher, and politician and his dedicated work towards education made his birthday an important day in the history of India. We remember the great work of this exemplary person on this day. Actually, this man, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was a friendly teacher and he was popular among his students for the example he always set in front of them. So, one day his students and friends requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday in a lavish way. In return he said that it would be his pride and honor if they celebrate his birthday in respect of all teachers. And since then this day 5th September is celebrated as Teacher's Day. Now, talking about the rest of the world, World Teacher's Day is celebrated on 5th October an

Always have a positive outlook!

Who among us haven't exprienced any problem? In our day to day living we may encounter one; be it simple or complicated; be it in the love, studies, work, money, health, family or natural calamities. Some may cry their heart out, some may end their lives, and some may have happy outlook in life and find their way for solution. We Filipinos were known to be happy people. Even in the face of problem/calamities we still find ways to enjoy and laugh about in this kind of situations. Example of it is during floods. Many of us still manage to smile, take selfies, and enjoying the moment of having a free swimming pool, wading on flood water on their styro foams. Just like the Philippine slogan "It's more fun in the Philippines" Although we seems to be not serious because of the happy perspective, we were also exposed with what they call "Bayanihan". Everybody has ways to help others, whether that may be in kind, service time, and means money and etc., so that w

Reflection

It was June when we started discussing in ICT, I learned a lot of things. It's all about internet. We can do a lot of things through internet. And one of the advantages of internet is communication. We are able to communicate with other people far from us. I also learned about the history of internet, different internet pioneers and Philippine internet architectures. But blogging caught my interest the most. I learned the different steps and ways of search engines. I had encounter challenges during the first quarter, one is lack of time. I am slow in typing in computer so I cant publish my works on time. And I have to sleep late at night finishing my articles. And at first I am not familiar with blogging but I am able to surpass all of this challenges with the help of my classmates and my teacher. Moving on, I will still post on my blog account to enhance my writing skills and to share my knowledge with others. And I will keep and apply the knowledge our teacher taught us. This

Full of Surprises

SONA 2018, broke the tradition of highlighting the previous year accomplishments but instead the iron-fist leader addressed as a "Father of the Filipinos" and focused on desire and genuine and meaningful change for the people. "CORRUPTION MUST STOP"  This is one of the most famous line of our president. They said that the solution of this problem is all the people of the Philippines, that they must choose wisely during election. But for me its not. Wanna know why? During the election we dont know who is and who is not corrupt so the solution is not with us. The solution is having DISCIPLINE and being RESPONSIBLE of our true leaders. We all know that corruption is one of the biggest problem of our beloved country. People pay a lot of taxes but Philippines is still one of the poor country. Instead of making Philippines progress some of our leaders corrupting money and spend it in their own. President Duterte also mentioned that he has fired several officials tagged

Nutrition Month 2018:"Ugaliing magtanim sapat na nutrisyon aanihin"

"Ugaliing magtanim sapat na nutrisyon aanihin" for me, the theme means you need to plant vegetable and fruits in your backyards so that you will be physically and mentally healthy. We need to eat nutritious in order to reach the proper nutrition of our body. Proper nutrition is one of the most important element in our everyday life because it gives us energy to do our daily task. As we can see our generation now is far from old and simple life. We are now in modernized generation that they already forget to plant because we already have fast foods where foods foods are very expensive. Whether we admit it or not, we spend a lot of money in fast foods but those have only small nutrition. And according to some research study, our favorite , which is fries, hot dogs, and the other foods that we are eating in fast foods are the killer foods because it is not good in our body. So we need to have our own garden in our house. Some of us don't have wide space in our backyards be

Why we are celebrating...

Why June 12 is always color red in our calendar? Why we don't have classes and all government offices are close during this day? It's simply because that day is a regular holiday of celebration of the Philippine Independence Day. Philippine Independence Day is one of the biggest holiday in  our country. We always celebrate this event because it symbolizes our freedom. It also symbolizes that we Filipino's are brave because we overcome all the challenges and all the wars. And one of the reason why we are celebrating this holiday is to give respect and gratitude to all our ancestors who fought people/countries who colonized us.  Before and during June 12 a lot of Philippine flags are hanging on the streets and in front of our building and other offices. It shows for our love for our country. Why do we do that practice just only when Independence Day come? We should love our country whether it is Independence Day or not. We should also help our fellow Filipinos to prot
