Full of Surprises

SONA 2018, broke the tradition of highlighting the previous year accomplishments but instead the iron-fist leader addressed as a "Father of the Filipinos" and focused on desire and genuine and meaningful change for the people.

"CORRUPTION MUST STOP"  This is one of the most famous line of our president. They said that the solution of this problem is all the people of the Philippines, that they must choose wisely during election. But for me its not. Wanna know why? During the election we dont know who is and who is not corrupt so the solution is not with us. The solution is having DISCIPLINE and being RESPONSIBLE of our true leaders. We all know that corruption is one of the biggest problem of our beloved country. People pay a lot of taxes but Philippines is still one of the poor country. Instead of making Philippines progress some of our leaders corrupting money and spend it in their own. President Duterte also mentioned that he has fired several officials tagged in corruption and Justice will catch up those who steal public funds. He said that he value friendship but it has its limits. Even though he value his friends it has its limitation when they go against his policies.

An open letter for the President

                                                                                                                                    July 1,2018 Dear Mr. President, Greetings of peace and joy! I am Shania Gasmen, a Grade 10 student of Ilocos Sur National High School. I want you to know that I really admire your political will to change our country's problem for the better. You are doing the best that you can to find ways and means. You have a good heart with an arm fist. Just be tactful with your words especially on televised speeches because many young generation are watching and listening. May I request that you allot more funds to the Department of Education to supplement the needs of children, classroom building, increase the salaries of the teachers and for free college education. I am hoping that you may find time to read my simple message to you Mr. President. May the Lord give you good health and guidance to continue good purposes.
